Here are some projects we've worked on over the last few years.
The ProblemThunder Bay Regional Health Sciences centre serves a vast northern Ontario community. In order to visit the hospital, patients often drive for hours and even take the day off work to visit a clinic. They needed a way to leverage communications technologies to ease the burden, but which didn't require too much technological know-how to use. |
The SolutionIn partnership with the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation Eyesopen developed software, based on the Centre's Virtual Clinic technology and the Asterisk open source IVR platform, to allow patients to use a telephone to dial in to the Virtual Communications Centre and hear their test results The system was warmly received and is now being considered for deployment at several regional hospitals. |
