Here are some projects we've worked on over the last few years.
The ProblemThe Centre for Global eHealth Innovation had done a variety of research indicating that often pain isn't treated effectively because communication between patients, their families, and their health care teams isn't optimal. To research this idea further, they wanted to develop a website using their patient created manual, 'A Team Approach to Pain Relief,' as well as other resources. |
The SolutionEyesopen worked with the Centre to produce a site that maintained the simple language and 'folksy' style that their research indicated patients expressed a preference for, but developed links to lots of supplemental information for those with deeper information needs. As well we worked with partners inside the hospital to develop streaming videos, relating to issues around pain, with scripts developed from patient statements |
